The Aluminium Hi Step Junior Platform enables you to cut 9ft high hedges comfortably and safely, available with an extender kit.
The cutting platform can be set at 2ft or 4ft, as optimal cutting position is between stomach and shoulder height, the Hi-Step Junior allows you to safely tackle hedges of up to 9ft. A 6kg extender kit is available from the options section below, increasing the cutting height to 12ft.
Under new regulations passed through Parliament in Spring 2005 if anyone including a Householder employs a gardener the employers are bound by the Work at Height Regulations (WAHR) under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. The WAHR imposes strict requirements upon employers for the avoidance, elimination and the minimisation of risk associated with falls when working at height. The Henchman Hi- Steps MEET these legal requirements.
The cutting platform and rungs are non slip with guard rails to the front and sides allowing you to lean over safely and cut across the top of your hedge with both hands operating your hedge trimmer.
Each leg is individually adjustable to ensure stability even on a sloping surface. The feet adjust with a spin of the hand, making adjustments of less than 1mm up to 1.5 inches, ensuring all four feet are in full contact with the ground, giving real stability, reducing the need to remove pins and slide legs for small adjustments. The flat self levelling feet have a ribbed undersurface enhancing the grip on grass.
As the Hi-Step Junior straddles and steps over most obstacles in its stride, you can trim without wrecking shrubs and flower beds.
The light weight yet strong aluminium frame is easy for one person to carry and manoeuvre, weighing just 17kg and folding flat for easy storage. An optional trolley kit is available for even easier transportation.
