A variety of optional accessories are available to enhance the utility of your greenhouse: Staging - Measuring 2310mm x 500mm, with a slatted top improving ventilation, creating a useful work-top area with handy storage space below. Fixed to the greenhouse wall at waist height and supported on both gable ends with cedar brackets, and centrally positioned leg support. Shelving - Measuring 2310mm x 245mm is an invaluable additional storage space for starting off seedlings and general storage of seed packets, gardening tools and gloves, reference book, etc. Best fitted at shoulder height, supplied with a kit and stainless steel fixings for easy self-assembly. Louvre Vent - Designed to fit below the side window creating additional lower ventilation. A popular choice for gardeners who favour growing alpines, the louvre kit includes aluminium frame and glass housing assembly, screws and fixings, toughened safety glass blades and a cedar top and bottom section for easy installation. The glass blades have a polished edge for safer handling. Autovent - Operated via a wax filled cylinder that expands and contracts, automatically opening and closing roof vents. Improve ventilation and control temperatures without the need for constant trips to the greenhouse. Help combat the heat of the sun and stop plants drying out and wilting and avoid the humid conditions that many common plant diseases thrive in. Irrigation System - Providing an adjustable flow of water and fertiliser, both day and night to your greenhouse. This gravity-feed watering device provides continuous drip feeding for your plants. Blinds - Help control the amount of sunlight in your greenhouse, reducing summer sunlight, aiding plant growth and preventing overheating and plant burn. Any greenhouse is reliant on its foundations, therefore we recommend putting your new greenhouse on a steel base, ensuring that the surface you are fixing the greenhouse to is flat, and lifts the greenhouse off the ground to protect the sill from any water build-up that may penetrate the wood and reduce its lifespan. The base is easy to put together, and even easier to affix down to the ground, cut to the exact size of the greenhouse, removing the need for solid footing around the whole perimeter of the structure. Professional installation is available at an extra cost from the options section. If you require this service please ensure ground location is of firm and level footing and if not selecting a prefabricated base, prepare a brick or concrete base in readiness. The area should be free from any obstructions and overhanging obstacles with access to all sides. Installation will be completed within 10 working days from delivery of greenhouse. Western red cedar is a top quality building material, providing outstanding strength in adverse conditions and enhanced weather resistant essential for garden use. It is a naturally oily wood making it inherently rot resistant. Untreated, Western red cedar weathers to a beautiful silvery grey colour, reminiscent of sun-bleached driftwood, but if you want to preserve its rich colour it will need treating from time to time. All Growhouse timber is supplied by companies that are either FSC, CSA or PEFC certificated. This ensures that all the cedar used in our greenhouses has been harvested in a sustainable, responsible and renewable manner, and meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
