Excellent next day delivery. Assembly instructions okay but could be a little clearer. Started very easily unlike other budget machines. Does a good job at a good price.

The chainsaw itself performs very well and first time with little effort. However the operators manual is so poorly written as to be almost unreadable in a technical sense. For instance it tells you to fill the petrol tank with chainsaw oil and to fill the chainsaw oil tank with petrol. Not good!

Great price, great product. Started 1st time. Note 40:1 not 50:1 fuel mix. Just spent 45 mins so far cutting firewood and it's superb. Fairly light at the price level as well.

Great chainsaw, chain tension goes very quickly at first, as does the chain oil, you have to keep an eye on it! It managed a 12" tree trunk without any trouble at all. It does cut out occasionally but I think it was just very hot

A good product and I am satisfied with the performance. The chain did come off after using it for about an hour, but it was simple to re-fix it. The Service from Gardenlines was efficient as well.

I used the Mac838 for the first time over the weekend and couldn't be more pleased with the result. I had to cut down an Acacia tree approx. 10"" dia. and it did the job admirably and gave me a good supply of logs for the winter days. With the variety of saws on the market it was difficult to pick one within the price range that I had in mind. This saw is an excellent product for the price and I would thoroughly recommend it.

It does what it says on the tin.  It is a compact, easily managed chainsaw.  I followed the instructions carefully and found that I avoided problems and got it started quickly.  I felt confident about using it safely.    I was able to fell and cut up a dead tree with speed and ease.  (The trunk was about 12"/30cm in diameter.)  As a saw for light/medium use it is excellent and saved both money and time.

I found this product to be good value for money as I have seen it for more than £20 dearer elsewhere.  Easy to use straight out of the box, good instruction booklet and straight forward maintenance, excellent.

Easy to use, ideal size and plenty of power for the domestic use I have put the McCulloch 738 to.  I have used it for heavy pruning, cutting down small trees and cutting up fire wood. It is easy to strip down, clean and reassemble. A great purchase.

I have owned a McCullock chain saw in the past and it is an excellent product. Provided it is used properly, it will give years of service  I would add that the response time from ordering to receiving was truly amazing, just 20 hours.
