It seems to work well in all respects and has no defects. On refelection I should have bought a model with a wider cut - hence a 4 rating and not 5.

Only assembly required - grass collector and handles. The first cut was impressive as the mower is manoeuvrable. I have 2 walled borders which inhibit getting too close but by the non-walled borders the rollers maintained good blade cutting height. The motor is adequately powerful and quiet - 7 cutting heights ranging from 'jungle to short back and sides' - only trial and error will establish what's good for you!
Critical comments, by other users, regarding removal and replacement of grass collector ARE VALID - it IS awkward! As is the 'bail arm lever' which has to be held really close to the handle bar and can give the hand palm a 'bit of a nip' - wear gloves! (I would prefer a 'trigger'). Despite holding the 'bail arm bar' tight against the handle bar (it 'folds' around) the motor 'cut out' on several occasions - 'newness' or adjustment required? There is nothing relating to 'overheating' in the manual.
Storage - good. I like the detachable power cable in fact I like the machine but after just one use.........?
No disputing it is a quality product - the 'Porsche' of small, electric, push mowers. - impressive design and 'racing green' finish. However, value for money? In my case I would say definitely 'yes' as I spent some time surfing the various selling sites (and there are plenty!) before deciding on a vendor whose selling price was some £40 (plus free delivery) below manufacturer's RRP

Sturdy, well made lawnmower which provides a very good result. Item is heavier than other models available but since the mower is well balanced that does not impact the operation. Smooth, quieter than other cheaper models which are definitely less reliable, hence purchase of this more robust model.

Quality of product in terms of design and functionality far exceeds any other electic lawn mower that I have ever used or examined. It is relatively expensive but at least from this web site the cost is the lowest that I could find.

I purchased this mower because my other mower, although new, didn't cut the grass properly and just flattened the grass rather than cut it. The Hayter is marvellous and gives the grass a clean cut and I would recommend this mower to anyone - the only point I would make is that it is quite a heavy mower, but I manage it okay.

On receipt of this product it confirmed what i had thought on first seeing it. A quality machine, well designed. Not yet had a chance to use it due to poor weather but if it performs as well as it looks i will be well pleased and rate it 5 instead of 4. Real value for money. Some things just look right and this is one of them.

The grass box was fiddley to assemble, and once came loose (probably due to our fault). Otherwise the product is first class for our two lawns. Perfect for my wife who insists on doing the lawns. Compared to other products this model is (in our opinion) far the best value for money.

excellent product far better than the cheaper more common mowers sold in DIY stores which we got rid off. easy to push,cuts the grass more evenly, easy to adjust the height with one lever that is so smooth as unbelievable and it picks up all the grass.
I would recommend this product the wife is very pleased with it, and if you buy one you will not be disappointed.

The first thing I noticed was the weight - it is a solid, very well built mower using quality parts and materials. It performs well, cutting neat even lines as I wanted. The weight is both a good point and bad, particularly if your lawn is on an incline!
The only real criticism I have of the mower is in regard to the grass collection box. Two things, firstly if the grass is at all wet and/or long it is not pushed into the box with sufficient force and/or the grass box is set up too high on the machine!
I had to keep taking the box off and pushing the plugged wadge of grass further into the bag. This is when I noticed the second problem, the grass box is difficult to replace as you approach with it under the handles. Its fastenings sit so high you have to change hands and hold it from the top in order to reattach it. Minor niggles perhaps but niggles you shouldn't have on a push mower of this price and quality?
Overall however I'm very pleased with the mower - its a great improvement on my old one and should last me many years.

A good quality, powerful and robust lawnmowyer which offers good value for money. The mower cuts grass with ease and to a shorter lenght than general, run of the mill rotary products. The excellent service provided by Garden Lines was an added bonus! Thank you.

I am very pleased with my mower. The only critisism is the frequency of emptying the grass collecting bag when using a low cutting height. I found the motor cut out if I didn't do this often enough.

A 1st class machine all we wanted.We visited B&Q & Homebase and did not see any other machine with the quality the Hayter Envoy has.Follow up 1st class and delivery.
I would recomend this mower to anybody.

Good quality, easy for the wife to use both adjust height and mow. Fills the grass box a little too quickly when mowing long grass, so mow without box then go along with box to pick up grass. Folds easily to go in back of medium size car and best of all very quiet in operation. Very happy with it and would recommend to others. The price and speed of delivery were excellent.

I found hayter envoy easy to assemble, not too heavy to push around but solid enough to feel the quality of the mower, the wide variation in cutting heights making cutting the lawn more of a pleasure than a chore, all in all a very good mower at a very reasonable price,(i have saved £50 buying it from garden lines!)

This is the 4th mower in 8 years. never a Hayter!
This one seems more substantial and robust enough to deal with my lawns.

This was a replacement for a Hayter electric mower that had been in continuous service for 25 years! It is worth paying a bit extra to get the Hayter build quality and durability. I have proved that.

Compared to previous lawnmowers (Flymo) we found this product to be less noisy, not as heavy to manoeuvre and found the height adjuster much easier to use. Although only used once (up to now) we did find the grassbox as little cumbersome when trying to fit it back on to the mower after emptying, however, this may improve with practice (this is the only reason i have not given the product full marks! It's a good lawnmower to choose if storage space is an issue as the handle bars fold in on themselves. Compared to our other mowers the 'stripe' effect is more definite giving the more professional look to your lawn. As we have a large garden we found the long cable very useful - we no longer have to use an extension cable to reach the bottom of our garden.

This is a fantastic lawnmower, I was looking for a low, neat cut and have found that this mower provides this and I have NOT even used the lowest cut setting. Outstanding value and a mower that I would readily recommend to anyone.

Having a medium sized garden the Hayter Envoy was a perfect choice, it is a sturdy yet versatile machine. I especially like the differing grass cutting heights which are easy to access and use and the combined roller which gives the grass that bowling green look (without actually having bowling green grass!) My son was very impressed and has ordered himself one. Well done Hayter.

Excellent quality, I am delighted with this machine! It feels very well built, cuts very well even in longer grass (I was without a lawnmower for two weeks before this one arrived), and is reasonably quiet compared to most. I find it fairly easy to manoeuvre, and like the features, such as the simple height adjustment mechanism and the detachable cable - no more trying to untwist the cable! The grass bag is easy to empty too - I could go on...
