The Gardena THS 400 telescopic is a great piece of equipment. Easy to use and versatile. Does everything it says it can. I only wish I had known about it earlier - it would have made hedge cutting so much easier and safer. The hedge looks better too! I must mention your excellent servce. A friendly website and not only email acknowledgement but a personal call later the same day to confirm the arrangements.

Great product, particularly useful long reach keeping my arms well away from my thorn hedge! Easily cuts through woody stems, I wish I'd had one years ago.

Very well made.It has many inovations,is very good value and I agree with others that it is a little heavy - a harness would help. We have adapted a neck harness and this works well.

This hedge trimmer is exactly what I wanted as I have tall Laurel and fern hedges with wide tops and the extending blades deal both quietly and efficiently with both.
On the negative side, after using the trimmer for a little while, the weight becomes very noticeable. The addition of a shoulder strap to help support the weight while in use would be helpful.

It does what it says on the box very well, but I find it not well balanced and heavy.

Good quality. Very efficient. Gets a little heavy after a while but, nonetheless, a great product. Very impressive service from Gardenlines. Order placed at 11.30 in the morning and at 4.30 that afternoon, we received a phone call to say it would be delivered the next day - and it was. Perfect way to shop!

Not used it on the hedge yet but it seems a great cutter - well designed and versatile. The blades can be twisted in any plane and it has a fabulous reach. Wished this had been available years ago. Only slight reservation is the weight, which is equal to or slightly heavier than a comparable 2 stroke. This aside I was really pleased with it an look forward to the spring! Folds away neatly for storage.

Robustly made, economical power use, very versatile. Weight manageable though a strap or other means of sharing weight between arms and shoulders or neck would be helpful. Good value for money, its sturdiness alone outdoing others of its type.

Good tool - very flexible. Can be a bit 'heavy' when fully extended. A shoulder strap would be a useful accessory

The cutter is easy to adjust and simple to operate. The action is surprisingly quiet and the blade will cut through quite thick branches.
The only difficulty is the poor balance when the shaft is fully extended (due to the position of the motor). As I am 6' 4" this is not a great problem for me but, for a shorter operator, controlling high level cutting may be tricky.
Al in all a very good machine.

We have only used it once so far but seems a good machine,would benefit from a support strap,but a minor niggle. Is heavy for us to use but will improve with practice I think, and will certainly keep us off the ladders when cutting the highest hedge,which was our intention when buying it.It was good value for money.

This telescopic hedge trimmer fits the requirement exactly for the puropse in mind. Good value and user friendly together with excellent safety controls. Could benefit with some sort of support harness for weight distribution but otherwise a good choice and an excellent buy.

I FOUND THIS HEDGE TRIMER VERY HEAVEY TO USE, BUT IT DID SAVE USING STEPS AND LADDERS

It does what it says on the box and enables medium size hedges to be trimmed without the need for ladders. However, because the motor is towards the top end, it can be cumbersome and rather heavy to manoeuvre.

My recent purchase replaces the same model hedgetrimmer I have had for several years and which has given excellent service. The main advantage is being able to work off the ground for taller hedges (apart from the top) thus avoiding the risk of falling from ladders etc.

The poduct does the job well but with the blade fully extended it is difficult to hold the device for for very long. This is caused by the weight of the motor, which is at the bottom of the blade, moving the centre of gravity too far away from the operator.

Pleased with my new toy which makes the task of cutting the top of our high and not so high hedges easier and safer than having to use a ramp and ladders. Being an eight stone, five foot two female I have had to make a harness to help take some of the weight, which has worked well. I will not have to use the trimmers at it's full extention which I think would be too top heavy for me but would recomend the product all the same. The lack of a harness was the reason for only giving a score of 4.

Highly delighted with this product . My only reservation is that it needs some sort of harness arrangement , as it is quite heavy to use .

Great Customer service, and a great item. Very versatile and the blades seem strong enough to manage an average cutting load.

A quiet, versatile trimmer with excellent reach. I was very impressed when trimming the top of a Leylandi hedge. Very good value for money. J.G. Maidstone
