MowBot is a quiet, clean and reliable way to enjoy a perfectly cut lawn every day. Cutting your grass a few times a week to maintain your ideal grass height is a superior method of mowing. Your lawn will be less stressed than by infrequent mowing that cuts your lawn back too far too quickly.
MowBot is powered by sealed rechargeable batteries, so there is no need to deal with messy petrol or oil. Power consumption is extremely modest, using highly efficient electric motors to drive the wheels and blade. As it is a mulching mower, grass cuttings are cut, re-cut then blown back deep into the grass roots returning valuable nutrients straight back into your soil.
Getting started with MowBot is simple. A completely safe, low voltage border wire is laid around the perimeter of your lawn to define the mowing area. The wire is secured to the surface of the lawn using pegs every few metres, and is typically covered by the grass to become unnoticeable in two to three weeks. After this simple one-off installation, the MowBot works freely within the area defined by the wire, sensing its proximity to the edge of the lawn. For obstacles such as trees and walls, the MowBot senses when it bumps into them, reverses safely and selects a new direction to mow.
The MowBot 100DL2 is supplied with 100 metres of perimeter cable and a pack of 100 pegs. Extra pegs, cable, self amalgamating tape and a booster unit (only required between 600m and 1000m cable) are available as optional extras.
The MowBot 100DL2 is compact and easy to carry between different lawns, for storage and manual charging. Just like conventional mowers, best results are achieved if your lawn is cut when dry. Although fully waterproof, all MowBots feature a rain sensor which ensures that it stops mowing and returns to the border wire when it senses rain. The automatic blade speed achieves a superb cut, and is reversible for twice the life.
The MowBot is virtually silent, so can go about its business day or night without disturbing you or your neighbours. All models comply with all current safety standards including CE and TUV. The mower will cut out if lifted or turned over, so can be used with complete confidence in a family environment.
