It has a steel tine roller for scarifying which is quickly and easily interchangeable with the blade aerator roller. A collection box is available as an optional extra.

Scarifying is an important requirement for maintaining a healthy lawn and best carried out in the spring at the start of the growing season and again in late autumn to remove thatch, moss and dead vegetation.

The aerator can be used more often as the interference is less severe. It is comparable to a vigorous raking as the rotating steel tines of the aerator roller scours through the space between the individual lawn plants. This prevents excessive formation of thatch so the lawn remains vigorous over the entire year.
