The cutting platform can be set at 2ft or 4ft, as optimal cutting position is between stomach and shoulder height, the Hi-Step Junior allows you to safely tackle hedges of up to 9ft. A 6kg extender kit is available from the options section below, increasing the cutting height to 12ft.

Under new regulations passed through Parliament in Spring 2005 if anyone including a Householder employs a gardener the employers are bound by the Work at Height Regulations (WAHR) under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. The cutting platform and rungs are non slip with guard rails to the front and sides allowing you to lean over safely and cut across the top of your hedge with both hands operating your hedge trimmer.
