ELIET has developed and patented its own chipping system, the 12 steel chipping blades cut with the wood grain like little hatchets. The garden waste is rendered in to small chips in a cycle of chopping and cutting and as a result the chips will compost quickly. The blades can be reversed so that they last twice as long.

The special arrangement of the blades in accordance with the ELIET Hatchet principle not only ensures that the garden waste is cut in the fibre direction but also gives the blades a wide cutting area so everything located within the 220 mm chipping width is chipped. The knife drum continually goes through a cycle during which the wood is successively split and cut. The chippings are cut even more in the shredding chamber until they are small enough to fall through the sieve.

If the garden waste to be chipped consists of leaves or damp organic material (such maize, sprout sticks, etc.), ELIET recommend that the standard sieve screen be replaced with a suitable sieve for damp products. See options box below.

ELIET shredders get better performance from less power with lower consumption and less noise. Everything on this professional machine is designed to have a long operating life with a fully welded high quality steel frame and large diameter wheels with pneumatic tyres. The engine power is transmitted via a belt transmission so the impact of a sudden blockage is absorbed by the belt and not by the crankshaft of the engine. This prevents fatigue of the crankshaft and in turn extends the operating life of the engine.
