This mid-size cabin, 4mx3m, provides an ideal space for a teenage hideaway, or could house a sauna or jacuzzi, available with a veranda.
Made from Pan European Forestry Council (PEFC) certified timber, all floors, walls and ceilings have tongue and groove construction, with an impressive wall thickness of 28mm.
Because the Luzern Cabin is under 4m high, planning permission is not normally required, providing it is at least 5m from the main property and does not exceed more than 50% of the total garden area. If in doubt or if you live in a conservation area or listed building, contact your local planning officer.
The 0.895mx1.82m door and 0.64x0.87m opening windows are glazed with safety glass which will not mist like Perspex. Please contact us if you require extra doors and windows, which will need to be cut on site and will incur additional cost. The protective felt shingles on the roof give an attractive and snug finish.
All ground contact timbers are treated with Teknoguard. Due to the nature of their construction the cabin is not pre-treated. This should be done after installation, as timber is a natural product and is subject to changes caused by environmental conditions. Cabins should be treated annually to minimise contraction and expansion of the building.
Following the simple instructions provided, two or more fitters can usually erect a cabin within 1-2 days on a suitably prepared level concrete base. However, professional assembly is available at an extra cost from the options section below.
You also have the option of adding a veranda, with a 1.5m depth, creating extra leisure space. Allowances should be made for roof overhangs when locating your building in a confined space.
