Controlled by an electrical solenoid valve which can be operated by a time switch set to run a few minutes each hour, the Growth Gas Generator provides the correct levels of CO2. Known as the 'Threefold Enrichment' process, it is widely used by professional gardeners during the hours of daylight to speed up photosynthesis, enhancing plant development.

Depending on the size of your greenhouse the Growth Gas Generator should burn for about twelve minutes in each hour, burning about 0.25kg of propane in twelve hours. This should increase the amount of carbon dioxide in the air to 1000 parts per million, up from the 300ppm we breathe in as air.

Gas powered greenhouse heaters should only be used in well ventilated areas to ensure the CO2 sensor is not set-off thus cutting out operation.

With an output of 2.5kW the Growth Gas Generator will heat an area of up to 500sq ft and provide frost protection for an area up to 1000sq ft.

The Growth Gas Generator is supplied with a fused 13amp plug. Not included is a thermostat control or electric timer which is required to control the amount of time the appliance is switched on and off. These items should be ordered separately.

For the Propane model, several extras are available from the options section below: a regulator and hose set; a gas low gauge, which when attached to a regulator will indicate when you need to replace the gas cylinder, and an auto changeover valve that will automatically switch from one gas cylinder to another (includes hoses, connections and full user instructions).
